City of Northlake Finance and Rules Committee met October 5

City of Northlake Finance and Rules Committee met Oct. 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: Alderman Feldmann

Alderman Contreras

Alderman Johnson

Alderman Gonzalez

Alderman Grochowski

Alderman Patti

Absent: Alderman Straube

Alderman Garcia

OTHERS PRESENT: Carol Lampard, Finance Director Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police Tony Faciano, Superintendent Public Works

The committee reviewed the minutes of the September 14, 2020 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 14, 2020 meeting; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Johnson. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-18-2020; A Resolution Approving a Change in the Terms Agreement Between the City of Northlake and First American Bank. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Gonzalez. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-14-2020; An Ordinance Establishing the Number of Liquor Licenses and AmendingSection 3-3-4-6 of the City Code of the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. This is because of two gaming establishments going out of business. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin showed everyone the Halloween placard that will be available for residents to place in their windows stating they are or are not “open” for Halloween trick-or-treaters.

There being no further business, Alderman Patti made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
