Stickney Fire District responded to 143 calls in 2018 - 8.9 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Stickney included 19 fires - nine structure fires, five vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $95,500 in fire loss - or about $5,026 per fire.

The department also received 122 false calls, including six malicious calls and 116 other false calls.

The Stickney Fire District had an annual budget of $2,034,516 in 2018.
