Village of La Grange Park Sustainability Commission met Sept. 14.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1. Call To Order

2. Chairman Statement: This meeting is being held remotely as a meeting with a quorum of the public body physically present is not practical or prudent due to the State’s Declaration of Disaster due to the impacts of COVID-19

3. Confirmation that all commissioners/members of the public can hear & reminder that all motions need to be passed by a roll call vote

4. Public Comment

5. Approval of Minutes – August 3, 2020 (Roll Call Vote)

6. New Business

a. Green Spotlight – Push for Nominations

b. La Grange EQC collecting holiday lights at same locations – Suggestions

c. LEQC interested in scrap metal collection to coincide with the Pumpkin Smash Event

7. Old Business

a. Native Plant Bike Tour –Village of La Grange Environmental Quality Commission request for case studies of past tours - update

b. ComEd Grant – Butterfly Gardens (Plan & Update to be presented at a later date)

c. Recycling Opportunities: Pumpkin Smashing Event – November 7, LEQC would like to partner and possibly host metal collection for recycling (i.e. yard sign stands etc.) at event. Development of flyer /distribution details

d. Review of Sustainability Plan – Next Steps
