Zoom Meeting began at 6:16 p.m.

Members Present: Mounce, Swade, Paul-Emile, and Cuevas
Members Video Conference: Pabon
Members Late: Kulis-Kearns Valeriano at 6:22 p.m.
Member Absent: Arenella
Also In Attendance: Dr. Michelle Smith, Superintendent, Dr. Robert Hubbird, Assistant Superintendent, and Jessica Ibarra, Executive Secretary.

VI. ADJOURNMENT MOTION TO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Member Paul-Emile moved and was seconded by Member Cuevas that the Special Board Meeting of the District 98 School Board of Education adjourn to Executive Session at 6:24 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020 for the purpose of discussing the following items:
1. The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5ILCS 120/2(c) (1).
2. Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2).
MOTION TO RECONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION
Member Paul-Emile moved and was seconded by Member Cuevas that the Special Meeting of the District 98 Board of Education reconvenes from Executive Session at 8:16 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020.

Member Paul-Emile moved and was seconded by Member Cuevas that the Special Meeting of the District 98 Board of Education adjourn at 8:25 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020.
