Analysis: Cicero pays $3.48 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Cicero Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.7 percent of the $7,620,774 the Cicero Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.48 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Cicero contributed $5,924,093 to the fund, which saw a $164,894 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $1,698,373, or 22.3 percent, in 2018.
