Analysis: Forest View pays $9.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Forest View Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 89.9 percent of the $520,077 the Forest View Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $9.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Forest View contributed $467,579 to the fund, which saw a $156,117 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $50,658, or 9.7 percent, in 2018. Another $1,840 came from other unspecified sources.
