Analysis: Franklin Park pays $5.42 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Franklin Park Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.2 percent of the $2,225,255 the Franklin Park Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.42 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Franklin Park contributed $1,874,755 to the fund, which saw a $84,996 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $345,384, or 15.5 percent, in 2018. Another $5,116 came from other unspecified sources.
