Analysis: North Riverside pays $6.14 for every $1 pensioners contribute to North Riverside Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86 percent of the $1,765,868 the North Riverside Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.14 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, North Riverside contributed $1,518,549 to the fund, which saw a $272,619 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $247,319, or 14 percent, in 2018.
