City of Northlake issued the following announcement on June 26.
The first installment real estate tax bill incorrectly listed the funding level for the Northlake Fire Protection District’s Pension Fund at 29.73%, which is incorrect. The correct level of funding should have been listed at 77%. This information can be verified as follows:
Visit the Illinois Department of Insurance website – http://insurance.illinois.gov/
Click on Public Pension (right side, gray box) – https://insurance.illinois.gov/Applications/Pension/Default.aspx
Click on Pension Data in the top menu on the right side – https://insurance.illinois.gov/Applications/Pension/PensionDataPortal.aspx
Under Report Name dropdown select Actuarial Valuation Report
Under Fund Name select NORTHLAKE FPD FIREFIGHTERS PENSION FUND
Under Fiscal Year End select 12/31/2018
