9.1.1 Trustee Liaison Report – Trustee Graf-Stone highlighted and thanked the Administration Team and department heads for dealing with the Coronavirus, changing processes to adapt and trying to keep everyone safe. They are also working very hard on the Tollway project. We appreciate everyone.

9.1.2 Motion to Approve an Ordinance Authorizing Execution of a Power Supply Agreement to Provide Full Requirements Electricity Supply and Related Service for the Village of Berkeley’s Electric Aggregation Program.

9.2 Finance and Economic Development (Chair – Trustee Washington; Co- Chair Trustee Salemi)

9.2.1 Trustee Liaison Report – Trustee Washington thanked the Board and Staff for keeping the Village’s Finances strong and pushing forward on the Economic Development front, as well as Public Safety during this time. In the last two weeks the Village has made a considerate effort to help, promote and support local businesses in the Village of Berkeley. This is something they will continue to do. Trustee Washington encourages for businesses to support each other as well during this time.

Trustee Washington mentioned a report he saw from the Illinois Municipal League gave some estimates regarding revenue impact for Municipalities. That is something they all want to keep an eye on as they move forward.

Chief Police informed the Board that one of his Field Training officers has been confirmed Covid-19 positive. Field Training has be postponed for about a week and a half

9.4.1 Trustee Liaison Report – Trustee Grenier informed the Board that the ambulance is having some electrical problems that require some trouble shooting.

9.5.2 Motion to Approve a Resolution Approving and Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement between the Village of Berkeley, Cook County, Illinois and Baxter & Woodman Inc. to conduct the AWIA Risk and Resiliency Assessment in an Amount not to Exceed $27,500.00

9.6.1 Trustee Liaison Report – No report

9.6.2 Discussion on 2020 Village Events

Trustee Perez discussed with the Board if the Village’s events should be cancelled. All Board members agree that spring, summer and fall events should be cancelled. The Board is hoping that maybe the Holiday Winter Feast might still have a chance to continue. If so, there will be precautions in place (to be determined). The Board will continue to follow the Governor’s lead and advice as time goes by.

10.1 President’s Report

10.1.1 5/19/2020

Village Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m. (electronically) Thank you to staff for how robocalls are now handled and how robocall contacts our residents with weekly updates and messages. Thank you to all the volunteers helping our residents. Thank you to our resident Kathleen Chmura and Denise Mason-Smith who made masks to give away.

All volunteers will be recognized at a future date.

11 Village Administrator – Village Administrator Espiritu reported to the Board that some changes have occurred since the last report, as 47 residents have now been tested positive for covid-19. We are still in the early stages. We are still not close for the pandemic to be over. Please continue to practice staying at home as much as possible, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing.
