A Regular Meeting of the Board of Education Members of Berwyn North School District 98 was held beginning at 6:30 PM in the Lincoln Middle School; 6432 W 16TH Street, Berwyn, IL 60402.
I. CALL TO ORDER Meeting began at 6:47 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL

MOTION TO ALLOW MEMBERS CUEVAS AND KULIS-KEARNS VALERIANO TO VIDEO CONFERENCE
Member Pabon moved and was seconded by Member Paul-Emile that the Board allow Members Cuevas and Kulis-Kearns Valeriano to Video Conference for this Board Meeting.

IV. COMMUNICATIONS
A. Superintendent Michelle Smith communicated to the Board, that the Berwyn North School District 98 will be moving forward towards an e-learning implementation. She assures the Board that if the Governor of Illinois extends school closures a plans is being developed to ensure that students receive an education. Ms. Smith informed the Board that the school furniture budget has been repurposed for the purchase of new Chromebooks. This is to ensure that every Teacher, Program Assistant, and student has the technology required for a successful e-learning implementation. Our Technology Specialist team is working hard on a plan for distribution of the units. Chromebooks will be distributed tentatively on April 6th and April 7th.

A. Member Cuevas voiced her concern for the video conference chosen for the Board Meeting was not convenient and she was unable to hear all members when they spoke. Board Members will discuss and choose future methods of holding Board Meetings.
XII. ADJOURNMENT MOTION TO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Member Paul-Emile moved and was seconded by Member Arenella that the Regular Meeting of the District 98 Board of Education to Adjourn to Executive Session at 9:31 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2020 for the purpose of discussing the following items:
1. The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5ILCS 120/2(c) (1).
