2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60104?

There were 54 offenders released on parole during 2019 that live near Illinois zip code 60104, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Cook News.

The data shows that 51 men and three women were released in Bellwood zip code. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2019, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Hector Torres. He was convicted of homicide in 2009, when he was 21 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
