The data shows that the six released offenders living in Forest Park zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 48-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2013.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Milton Shepard. He was convicted of homicide in 1996, when he was 19 years old. He is now 43.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
