Village of Franklin Park Fire and Police Commission met Dec. 2.
Here is the minutes provided by the commission:
Call to order: The meeting for the Fire & Police Commission was called to order by CommissionerMaritza Souchet at 6:01 pm.
Roll Call / Quorum: Present is Commissioner Maritza Souchet, Commissioner Irene Herrera, Commissioner Guillermo Rios and Secretary Margarita Whaley. Also in attendance was Director of Police Mike Witz and Trustee Bill Ruhl.
Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the November 4,2019 meeting minutes was made by Commissioner Souchet with a second by Commissioner Herrera. Motion passed. A motion was made to approve the special meeting minutes of November 25,2019 by Commissioner Souchet and a second by Commissioner Herrera. Motion passed.
Communications:
Secretary Whaley: noted the upcoming written Sergeant's testing on December 7th
Trustee Ruhl: Noted the wonderful job Chief Brehm did in helping become part of the consortium of towns that are using the Stroke Unit ambulance. Paramedics arrive on site and assess if this is a stroke. If it is, the Stroke Unit ambulance is called to the scene and the unit has everything specif,rc to treating strokes as quickly and effectively as possible.
