Village of Schiller Park Fire & Police Commission met Feb. 18.

I. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rawski at 7:30PM
Upon call of the roll, the following were:
Present: Commissioner Fritz, Commissioner lrsuto and
Chairman Rawski
Absent: None
Others Present: Secretary Botti and Chief Chiodo
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: All present.
III. REVIEW AND VOTE TO ADOPT THE MINUTES OF THE
LAST TWO (2) MEETINGS:
Motion by Commissioner Fritz to adopt the minutes of the meeting dated January 21, 2020 and second by Commissioner Irsuto.
Upon call of the roll, the following voted:
Yes: Commissioner Fritz, Commissioner Irsuto and
Chairman Rawski
Abstained: None
No: None
The Chairman declared the motion carried
Motion by Commissioner Irsuto to adopt the minutes of the meeting dated February 15, 2020 and second by Commissioner Fritz.

IV. REVIEW CORRESPONDENCE AND BILLS:

V. DISCUSS PROGRESS OF ALL PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS OF THEIR PROBATIONARY PERIOD. THIS DISCUSSION MAY BE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION:

VI. DISCUSS STATUS OF OPEN POSITIONS FOR BOTH FIRE
AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS:
• Police Department: has two (2) opening. On hold
• Fire Department: has one (1) opening. On hold
VII. REVIEW DATES FOR FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC
TESTING (Original Appointment):
Fire Testing Schedule
• Orientation and written examination was held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Community Center;
o Registration began at 8:30AM by F.I.R.E testing service;
o Orientation exam began at 9 AM;
o Written exam began at 10 AM;
• Oral examinations will be held on March 3, 2020, March 10, 2020 and March 16, 2020 and estimated to be completed the week of March 301
h, 2020. (Nick will be on vacation from March 17th thru March 24th. and Gail will be on vacation from April 18th thru April 25th. Note: need to hire help for oral examinations);
• Total of applications sold to date is 45:
• Total of applications eligible to take the Written exam is 35;
• Total of applications that took the Written exam is 27;
• Total number of candidate that passed the Written is 20;
• Final Eligibility list to be tentatively completed and posted by
Friday April 3, 2020:

X. NEXT REGULAR MEETING NOTICE:
• The regular scheduled meeting in March has been rescheduled and will be held on March 10, 2020, at 7:30 pm,
• Special meeting will be held on March 3, 2020 at 7 :30 pm.
• Special meeting will be held on March 16, 2020 at 7 :30 pm.
• The regular scheduled meeting in April has been rescheduled and will be held on April 14, 2020, at 7:30 pm.
