The Village Board of the Village of Bellwood will conduct a village board meeting on Wednesday, March, 18, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Board Room at 3200 Washington Boulevard, Bellwood, IL 60104-1984 for the purposes of considering the following agenda:

1 Call to Order

a Public Works – Trustee Ciavattone, Chairman; Trustee Delgado, Member,

i Departmental Report,

ii Item G - The Village annually expends Motor Fuel Tax dollars on various eligible items as part of the Village’s General Maintenance Program, as part of the MFT process the Village is required to approve the annual program amount for the respective year, the amount for program year 2020 is $614,508.00,

b Community Development – Trustee Boston, Chairman; Trustee Robinson, Member,

ii Item I - The Village previously approved the development of the surplus property located at 2501 Madison and has publicized it sale as a result of which an offer for purchase has been submitted to the Village for consideration,

ii Item D - The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the amendment and has unanimously recommended the amendment to the Village Board for approval, the amendment provides for the ability of the property owner to obtain an extension of time pertaining to the zoning designation for vacant non-conforming structures,

iii Item E - The Village periodically updates its building code by adopting by reference uniform provisions, the ordinance provides for the adoption of various provisions of uniform building code,

d Administration – Trustee Robinson, Chairman; Trustee Ciavattone, Member,

ii Item F - The reports provide updates regarding pending litigation and revise the respective reserves, limits and costs pertaining to the respective claims and lawsuits,

iii Item J - Agreement provides for the acquisition and release of the data required from the Secretary of State in support of the Village’s Red-Light Photo Enforcement Program, 

e Public Safety – Trustee Delgado, Chairman; Trustee Nightengale, Member,

i Departmental Report,

ii Item C - The amendment allows for the Police Department to adopt policy allowing for the issuance of photo identification to its retired officers which may allow said officers to obtain a concealed carry permit,

iii Item H - The Memorandum of Understanding provides for the Bellwood Fire Department’s participation in a joint application for a grant to purchase equipment which includes a 10% matching requirement by the Village,

iii Ratify investments,

iv Item A - The Village on an annual basis adopts an appropriation ordinance providing for the appropriations of funds for the calendar year. From time to time it is necessary to amend the appropriation ordinance in order to provide for and authorize certain expenditures, v Item B - The Village on an annual basis adopts an appropriation ordinance providing for the appropriations of funds for the calendar year. It should be noted that the village staff projects to adopt a balanced budget for the calendar year 2020,
