Gottlieb Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on March 5
Jennifer Scheeringa, MSN, RN-BC, ACM, has been named regional vice president for case management and utilization management for Loyola Medicine, effective March 2, 2020.
Scheeringa will provide oversight for care management and utilization management across the continuum of care. Loyola Medicine includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and MacNeal Hospital.
Scheeringa has more than 30 years' experience in nursing. She joins Loyola Medicine from Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, where she began her career as a nurse before becoming a leader in care management, and most recently served as director of nursing and care management.
Scheeringa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Elmhurst College and her Master of Science in Nursing from Benedictine University in Illinois. She served as chair of the utilization committee for the Illinois Health and Hospital Association. Scheeringa is also a member of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses, the American Case Management Association and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders.
