CITY OF NORTHLAKE: Wisdom Village II

City of Northlake issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.

Wisdom Village of Northlake II is now renting! The new apartment complex for seniors offers multiple conveniences, wonderful amenities, and all the comforts of home!

The stately brick and stone building across from Northlake City Hall on North Avenue, designed for 62 and older citizens, isn’t just a cozy, convenient place to live—it’s affordable. There is no rental application fee. A one-bedroom unit is $755 per month, and a two-bedroom is $905 per month. One bedroom apartments are approximately 700 square feet, and two-bedrooms are approximately 965 square feet.

With six stories, the building has an elevator for easy access, laundry areas on every floor, on-site management, an exercise room, library, community room with kitchen and a beautiful outdoor landscaped terrace with grills and tables for entertaining.

Apartments come with new carpet, window blinds, wood cabinetry, all new appliances including a dishwasher, waste disposal chutes and are hard-wired for installation of Internet and cable.

Residents are within walking distance or a short drive to a park and retail shopping including Walmart, banks, pharmacies, medical offices and restaurants. The PACE bus has scheduled stops at the building and there is another stop a block away. Free parking is also available.

In order to be eligible to live at Wisdom Village of Northlake II, senior households must earn no more than 60 percent of Area Median Income (AMI), or $37,440 for a single person and $42,780 for a two-person household.

Wisdom Village is the result of a partnership with the City of Northlake and Turnstone Development to increase the availability of affordable, safe housing for elderly in the community. For rental information please call 708 223 8913.
