City of Northlake Finance & Rules Committee of the Whole met Aug. 12.

The committee reviewed the minutes of the July 15, 2019 meeting. Alderman Feldmann made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 15, 2019 meeting; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Patti. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion for approval of the 3-year contract with Melrose Pyrotechnics Inc. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Garcia. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-11-2019; An Ordinance Authorizing the Acquisition of Certain Real Property by Eminent Domain (Located South of Creekside Apartments). An error was noted on Page 2. The address referred to will be corrected to read Rhodes and Pearl. Alderman Straube made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-12-2019; An Ordinance Establishing Refuse Disposal Fees for Condominium Buildings. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-14-2019; An Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Real Estate Commonly Known as 564 Sandra Avenue in the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve a $5,000.00 Donation to Leyden Family Services. Alderman Straube made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
