Village of Franklin Park Fire & Police Commission met Aug. 12.

Call to order: The meeting for the Fire & Police Commission v/as called to order by Commissioner Maritza Souchet at 6:00 pm.
Roll Call / Quorum: Present is Commissioner Maritza Souchet, Commissioner Irene Herrera, Commissioner Guillermo Rios and SecretaryMargarita'Whaley. Also present Director of Police Mike Witz and Fire Chief Bill Brehm. Also present: Michael Souchet.
Approval of Minutes: A motionto approve the July 15,2019 was made by Commissioner Souchet with a second by Commissioner Herrera. Motion passed.
Communications:
Director Witzz Ian Ives and Joseph Comiano have their power test coming up and will be swom in August 30 and will start the Cook County Police Academy on September 3. The 3 candidates we have in the academy will graduate on August23 and will start field training on August 25.
Commissioner Souchet: We had the last 13 police candidates come in for their oral interviews on July 28. All went well. We wanted to welcome and thank the newest Commissioner Guillermo Rios for attending the oral interviews.
