Proviso Township Board met May 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1) CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Monday, May 6, 2019.

2) ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. and on a roll call the following responded: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present were Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, Attorney Durkin.

3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4) APPROV AL OF MINUTES

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on April 17, 2019.

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan. Nays: None

Absent: None

5) APPROV AL OF BILLS

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Herrell that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for April 16, 2019 – April 30, 2019 Roll Call Vote #2

Discussion: None

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan. Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried

6) ATTORNEY’ REPORT

None

7) CLOSED SESSION

None

8) OLD BUSINESS

A. Supervisor’s Report – Warrants approved. Supervisor Corrigan is asking for approval of $20,000 to begin demolition on the new office in Bellwood. Wayne Pesek from NAPCO will handle the project. There is a meeting with the Tollway for flooding in the Westdale area. County and Tollway would complete the resurfacing for help with flooding. Hancock Engineering would provide an estimate to help with about $450,000 in cost.

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Thomas that the Board of Trustees Motion to Authorize Supervisor Corrigan to Enter into a contract with NAPCO for Phase I Demolition, not to exceed $20,000, and be ratified by the Board of Trustees at the next meeting on May 15, 2019.

Trustee Christopher moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board approve the payments of G. A. Warrants for February and March 2019.

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

B. Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board of Trustees Approve a Resolution Approving a General Leave of Absence Policy and Amending the Proviso Township personnel Policy and Procedure Manual to Incorporate said
