Q2 2018 Recap: Parolees in Chicago convicted of public safety violations

There were two offenders convicted of public safety violations released on parole in Chicago during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the West Cook News.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Chicago. The younger parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2018. The other was a 29-year-old woman sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Mark Feliciano. He was convicted of a public safety violation in 2018 when he was 24 years old. He is now 25.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q2 2018 who were convicted of public safety violations.
