The data shows that 83 men and 14 women were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for financial crimes or fraud, one is a veteran, and the median age is 40. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 78-year-old man sentenced in 2018.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Germaine Elcock. She was convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2010 when she was 35 years old. She is now 44.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
