City of Northlake Committee of the Whole met May 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Clerk Pauletto called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

Alderman Patti

Others Present:

Nancy Pauletto, City Clerk

Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police

The committee reviewed the minutes of the April 15, 2019 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 15, 2019 meeting; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Werba. Questions were asked and answered respectively. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Werba. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

It was noted some Commission Expenditures were overlooked in the previous motion. Mayor Sherwin presented a second set of Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Gonzalez. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-08-2019; An Ordinance Assigning Certain Duties to the Finance Director and Amending Section 7-7B-6-9 of the Northlake City Code. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented Resolution R-13-2019; A Resolution Approving an Investment Policy. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented plaques to the two outgoing Aldermen, Tom Padilla and Mark Werba, thanking them for their service.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
