Shutterstock 185887181

There were five offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Broadview zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Cook News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Broadview were men. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee is a 21-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest is a 40-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 1997.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is James Pink. He was convicted of homicide in 1997 when he was 18 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the fourth quarter.
