The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Mary E. Flowers (D-31) on Nov. 30, 2018, "amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code" and "extends medical assistance coverage to all women of childbearing age regardless of income level," according to the General Assembly website.
