City of Northlake City Council met April 1.

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:07 P.M. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
Roll Call:
Present: Aldermen Straube, Feldmann, Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti
Absent: Alderman Contreras
Others Present: Nancy Pauletto, City Clerk Carol Lampard, Finance Director Mark Sterk, Attorney Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police Dale Roberts, Superintendent Public Works
Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on March 18, 2019. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held March 18, 2019; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Alderman Patti made a motion to appoint Kary Sampson to the Community Events and Affairs Commission; seconded by Alderman Werba. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Motion To Appoint Kary Sampson To The Community Events And Affairs Commission Carried
Alderman Patti made a motion to appoint Carol Lampard to the Police Pension Board; seconded by Alderman Werba. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Motion To Pay The Warrants And Vouchers Carried
Mayor Sherwin requested the Aldermen to call or email Rep. Willis and/or Sen. Harmon regarding a bill Rep. Yingling wants to sponsor which would possibly eliminate presale inspection on real estate transactions.
Everyone was reminded that tomorrow (April 2) is Election Day.
