Hillside home prices rise in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in Hillside rose by $8,500 while total sales increased by 37.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $155,000 - a 5.8% increase over the $146,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Hillside in December 2016.

The median sales tax in Hillside for 2017 was $4,251. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,728. This marks an increase of 14%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
