Berkeley home prices rise in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Berkeley rose by $65,000 while total sales decreased by 36.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $155,000 - a 72.2% increase over the $90,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 11 homes sold in Berkeley in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Berkeley for 2017 was $4,582. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,964. This marks an increase of 15.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3%.
