Hinsdale (Cook County) home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Hinsdale in Cook County fell by $262,500 while total sales increased by 60%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,012,500 - a 20.6% decrease over the $1,275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Hinsdale in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Hinsdale for 2017 was $15,765. In 2016, the median sales tax was $14,281. This marks an increase of 10.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
