Western Springs home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Western Springs fell by $146,500 while total sales decreased by 48.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 27 homes sold, with a median sale price of $401,000 - a 26.8% decrease over the $547,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Western Springs in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Western Springs for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $10,034, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
