Western Springs home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Western Springs rose by $44,000 while total sales increased by 27.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 84 homes sold, with a median sale price of $569,500 - a 8.4% increase over the $525,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 66 homes sold in Western Springs in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Western Springs for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $10,034, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
