Melrose Park home prices rise in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Melrose Park rose by $7,000 while total sales decreased by 32.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 50 homes sold, with a median sale price of $176,500 - a 4.1% increase over the $169,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 74 homes sold in Melrose Park in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Melrose Park for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,858, approximately 2.8% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
