Oak Park home prices fall in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Oak Park fell by $39,000 while total sales decreased by 12.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 156 homes sold, with a median sale price of $281,000 - a 12.2% decrease over the $320,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 178 homes sold in Oak Park in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Oak Park for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $10,491.70, approximately 3.7% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
