Western Springs home prices rise in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Western Springs rose by $18,000 while total sales decreased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 66 homes sold, with a median sale price of $525,500 - a 3.5% increase over the $507,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 72 homes sold in Western Springs in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Western Springs for 2017 was $10,034.03. In 2016, the median sales tax was $9,088.70. This marks an increase of 10.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
