Analysis: Riverside Brookfield administrators rank 129th in state for average pay

Administrators in Riverside Brookfield High School District 208 earn an average of $121,483 per year, ranking 129th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 6.3% higher than in 2014 and 8.4% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 13.2% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Cook County school district enrolled 1632 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 163 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
