Report: J. Sterling Morton spent $13,015 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 is up 13.8 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,439 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,015 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 8342 to 8287.

J. Sterling Morton's spending in 2017-18 was 2.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
