Report: Elmwood Park spent $14,348 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401 is up 24.7 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,509 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,348 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2926 to 2862.

Elmwood Park's spending in 2017-18 was 7.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
