Report: Berwyn North spent $13,174 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Berwyn North School District 98 is up 53.4 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $8,588 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,174 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3415 to 2939.

Berwyn North's spending in 2017-18 was 1.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
