Report: Lyons spent $12,277 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lyons School District 103 is up 12.5 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,916 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,277 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2536 to 2476.

Lyons's spending in 2017-18 was 7.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
