Report: Cicero spent $12,019 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Cicero School District 99 is up 24.3 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $9,668 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,019 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 13124 to 11874.

Cicero's spending in 2017-18 was 9.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
