Report: Hinsdale spent $20,397 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hinsdale Township High School District 86 is up 23.4 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $16,530 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $20,397 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4464 to 4358.

Hinsdale's spending in 2017-18 was 52.9 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
