Report: Hillside spent $14,749 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hillside School District 93 is up 25.2 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,783 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $14,749 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 531 to 466.

Hillside's spending in 2017-18 was 10.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
