Q2 real estate sales report: Melrose Park

Median prices rose in Melrose Park over last year, and are up 36.8 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 84 homes sold in Melrose Park for a median price of $200,000. That's 14 percent higher than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, 10 homes in Melrose Park were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Melrose Park was $5,593.67 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 3.2 percent of their home's value in taxes.
