Village of Schiller Park Board of Trustees met Oct. 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER:

President Nick Caiafa called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

ROLL CALL:

Upon a call of the roll by the Village Clerk, the following Elected Officials were: Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Moses Diaz, Russel Klug, Joan Golembiewski, Tom Deegan, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos

Absent: Trustees: Robert Lima, and Catherine Gorzynski President Caiafa declared a quorum present. Also present: Joe Montana, Corporate Counsel, Brad Townsend, Village Manager

III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

1. Trustee Golembiewski moved, seconded by Trustee Deegan that the MINUTES of the Committee of the Whole Meeting of October 4, 2018 be approved.

Upon roll call the following voted: Aye: Trustees: Diaz, Klug, Golembiewski, and Deegan Absent: Trustees: Lima, and Gorzynski Nay: None President Caiafa declared the motion carried.

IV. PERSONS WISHING TO BE HEARD:

No one to be heard.

V. BUSINESS:

The following discussions took place:

1. The Intersect Signal Public Meeting regarding Old River Road and Irving Park Road will be held on 10/24/2018 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Grace Park Condos and will be an open house style meeting.

2. The Flood Plain Re-map information notices are in the process of being created.

3. The Village is moving forward with streetscape plans on Irving Park Road.

4. Intergovernmental Agreement discussion regarding CDA.

5. Updates on the meeting between the Fire Department and the Mayor in regards to finances and salaries.

6. There have been changes to the contract and cost of the Senior Snow Plowing program. This year the Village will be following the National Oceanic Administration guidelines to determine snow removal response.

VI EXECUTIVE SESSION:

Trustee Klug moved, seconded by Trustee Diaz to adjourn into Executive Session in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, pursuant to Sec. 2-C-5 Purchase or Lease of Real Property, Sec. 2-C-11 Pending Litigation, Sec. 2-C-2 Salary Schedules, and Sec. 2-C-1 Employment Matters. Upon roll call the following voted: Aye: Trustees: Diaz, Klug, Golembiewski, and Deegan Absent: Trustees: Lima, and Gorzynski Nay: None President Caiafa declared the motion carried. The President and Board of Trustees adjourned to Closed Session at 6:22 P.M.

RECONVENE:

At 7:07 P.M. following the Closed Session, the President reconvened the public portion of the Meeting.

Upon a call of the roll by the Village Clerk, the following Elected Officials were:

Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Moses Diaz, Russ Klug, Joan Golembiewski, Tom Deegan, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos

Absent: Trustees: Robert Lima, and Catherine Gorzynski President Caiafa declared a quorum present. Also present: Joe Montana, Corporate Counsel, Brad Townsend, Village Manager

The Village will be proceeding with FAA approval to purchase property on Mannheim Road at Irving Park Road.

VII. ADJOURNMENT:

With no further business to conduct, it was moved by Trustee Klug, seconded by Trustee Deegan, that the Committee of the Whole Meeting be adjourned. Upon roll call the following voted: Aye: Trustees: Diaz, Klug, Deegan, and Golembiewski Absent: Trustees: Lima, and Gorzynski Nay: None President Caiafa declared the motion carried and this Committee of the Whole Meeting was adjourned at 7:07 P.M.
