CITY OF COUNTRYSIDE: METRA – BNSF Line to condense 21-day project into a 3-day one

City of Countryside issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.

A major tie replacement project on the BNSF Line between Hinsdale and Aurora will be condensed into a single weekend to minimize the impact on commuter services.

Beginning Friday, October 26 and through Sunday October 28, BNSF plans to replace 18,000 ties on the center trace on the stretch between Hinsdale and Aurora.
