Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
Palmgren Acupuncture will be hosting its 5th Annual Acupuncture Celebration & Open House on Friday, October 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at its clinic located at 115 North Marion Street, 2nd Floor in Oak Park.
“We’re excited to be celebrating our 5th year in business in Oak Park,” said Ms. Palmgren-Arestopoulos. This year Palmgren Acupuncture will be offering tours of the clinic and a chance to meet its newest team member, Kholood El-Helo, Licensed Acupuncturist. Owners Nick Arestopoulos, LAc. and Lynn Palmgren-Arestopoulos, LAc. will be on hand providing complimentary ear acupuncture to the first 30 attendees.
Research studies have shown that ear acupuncture can help people manage pain and relieve stress. Ear acupuncture is done only on the outside part of the ear and is safe when performed by a licensed acupuncturist. One of last year’s participants described her experience, “[After ear acupuncture,] I got the best night’s sleep in a very long time. Nothing short of amazing!”
The event drew more than 30 people last year. Ms. Palmgren-Arestopoulos is confident more will attend. “We’re expecting almost twice as many people to come by this year. We just opened our 3rd treatment room so we’re able to provide ear acupuncture treatments to more people.”
