Brookfield Police Pension Fund issued the following announcement on Aug. 1.
BOIL ORDER IN PLACE FROM 3:00pm TODAY (Wednesday, August 1st) til 3:00PM TOMORROW (Thursday, August 2nd)
Due to the recent water main break on the 9400 block of Washington, residents should boil their drinking, cooking, and any water for pet consumption.
It is necessary to use boiled water, bottled water, or water from a previously stored supply when cooking, drinking, or washing fruits and vegetables.
If your water pressure is low when the water is restored to your area, you may have to clean the screens in your faucets.
