Cicero Fire Department responded to 619 calls in 2017 - 22.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cicero included 198 fires - 85 structure fires, 41 vehicle fires and 72 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $882,120 in fire loss - or about $4,455 per fire.

The department also received 418 false calls, including 32 malicious calls and 386 other false calls.

Two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.
