BROOKFIELD POLICE PENSION FUND: Tree Removal To Begin June 21st

Tree

Brookfield Police Pension Fund issued the following announcement on June 20.

Homer Tree Care will begin removal of approximately 300 trees within the Village parkways on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Notices are being distributed to affected residents and trees are being marked in the field. This is being done as part of the Village 2018 Tree Removal contract. Tree removal may be necessary for many reasons, including but not limited to Emerald Ash Borer infestation, disease, storm damage or any undesirable species that may result in a liability situation for the Village.

Over the next couple of weeks (weather pending), the Village will be sending crews out to remove the tree and grind the stump out. Afterward, The woodchips will be removed and the parkway will be restored with dirt & seed.

Please be aware of any signage in the parkway or street, which may restrict parking in the areas surrounding the tree(s) to be removed. This is to make sure that the tree(s) may be removed efficiently and without delays and/or incident.

Trees located near power lines may also require an interruption in power service to safely remove the tree. If this is the case, you should be notified by Com Ed of the date and approximate timing of the outage.

Please feel free to contact the Public Works Department at 708-485-2540 with any questions or concerns.
